Ibanez SA Series
The SA stems from Ibanez's S series and is a more standard series as its body is slightly thicker and has an arched top and flat back. It also has a SAT single locking floating tremolo at the bridge and before 2008 this was a real selling point as it was the only range of standard, non-budget, range of guitars which utilised this. This guitar was designed to try and wipe out Fender's Strat...SA stands for Strat Assassin!
This model has a comfortable, S shaped body with a flat back. It's fitted with a SAT pro II bridge and a medium fret.
The SA160 is a 6 string electric guitar, full of features and still exceedingly affordable. It has a beautful transparent finish and a mahogany body. Fitted with an Ibanez AH1 Humbucker and Ibanez AH1/2 single coil pickups.
An improved version of the SAS36, but with a bolt on neck and a lower price tag!
This SA model changed the opinions of many, 16 years ago when the tone from mahogany meant weight and discomfort. This guitar has proven this wrong.
