Yamaha Pacifica Guitars
The Pacifica range of Yamaha guitars started with the Pacifica 112 which was released back in 1993. This model really shook the entry level guitar market as unlike other guitars of a similar price range, this one used high quality materials and components. The 112 was a great success, winning many industry awards and managed to stay high within the best buy sheets of the time.
From this brilliant model, Yamaha have developed the Pacifica series with other ranges and updated models, yet maintaining the idea of affordable, high quality guitars. Pacificas are what are known as Strat copies, as they are mainly based upon the popular Fender Stratocaster. Pacificas are known for their outstanding playability and comfortable body.
Recently Status Quo duo have been endorsing this range as a great guitar for the under £200 mark.
Based upon the more expensive Pacifica 112 model, this guitar is highly suited for beginners due to its great specification and high build quality. The packs come with a 10W Practice Amplifier, cable, instructional CD, Strap and bag.
The Yamaha Pacifica 112V is constructed of a solid American Alder body, maple neck and rosewood fingerboard. It is fitted with custom designed pickups, a vintage whammy bar and chrome machine heads.
