Yamaha's RGX series combines the sleek design of typical of superstrats with incredible playability These guitars are very similar to Ibanez's RG series and Jackson's Soloist guitars. These futuristic guitars started to be made in 1987 are made in Taiwan. most of the guitars in this range have 2 single coils, 1 humbucker and Yamaha's active pickups.
The RGX guitars were improved in 2003 with a 3+3 tuner layout and a 3D headstock amoungst other things.
