The APX series from Yamaha are designed for live performances, and their small bodies and slim necks make them ideal for electric guitarists who wish to play an acoustic with minimum hassle.
Due to the fact that the body is only thinned a little, the APX Series still sound superb when unplugged, but with a noticeable increase in comfort. The slim neck is very fast, as you will see if you watch the YouTube video.

Yamaha's APX500 is their entry level guitar in the APX series. It looks stunning, and has a strong amplified tone. The APX500 has a spruce top, nato back and sides and a rosewood fretboard.

Yamaha APX700
Yamaha's mid-range APX700 model produces warm tones with rich sustain both amplified and unplugged. Its small body and slim neck make it a pleasure to play. The APX700 features a 1-way A.R.T pickup system and a System 56 preamp. The body consists of a solid spruce top, natio back and sides and a rosewood fretboard.

Yamaha APX900
Yamaha's APX900 is at the top of their highly regarded APX range. The body consists of a solid spruce top, maple back and sides and an ebony fingerboard. The APX900 is fitted with Yamaha's new 3-way A.R.T. pickup system, which when paired with the System 57 preamp allows the guitarist independent control over their bass, teble and main pickups. This is an incredible guitar!
